# SDK extras

> The E2B SDK plus Anona's live view, SSH and defaults.

Anona Compute works with the stock E2B SDKs. The Anona packages are thin extras on top of them:

| | Python | TypeScript |
| - | - | - |
| Package | `anona` (needs `e2b>=2.61,<3`; extra `anona[desktop]` adds `e2b-desktop`) | `@anona/sdk` (peer dependency `e2b ^2.61.0`; optional `@e2b/desktop`) |
| `Sandbox` | Subclass of `e2b.Sandbox` | Subclass of e2b's `Sandbox` |
| Adds | `sandbox.live`, `sandbox.ssh`, `anona.configure()`, `anona.desktop.Sandbox` | `sandbox.live`, `sandbox.ssh`, `configure()` |
| Defaults | Domain `compute.anonalabs.com`; reads `ANONA_API_KEY` | Same |

Everything else (`commands`, `files`, `pty`, `pause`, `connect`, …) is the E2B SDK, unchanged. Its own documentation applies.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Coming soon:** `anona` on PyPI and `@anona/sdk` on npm.

## Environment

| Anona variable | Fills | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `ANONA_API_KEY` | `E2B_API_KEY` | used when `E2B_API_KEY` is unset |
| `ANONA_DOMAIN` | `E2B_DOMAIN` | default `compute.anonalabs.com` |
| `ANONA_API_URL` | `E2B_API_URL` | E2B deprecates it; fallback only |

`E2B_*` values always win, so an environment already set up for the stock SDK keeps working unchanged.
