# anona-compute pause

> Pause a sandbox

> [!NOTE]
>
> `--mode filesystem` is refused by the gateway: filesystem-only snapshots are not available, so pause always keeps memory.

Pause a sandbox (POST /sandboxes/{id}/pause).

--mode full keeps memory, so running processes continue after resume.
--mode filesystem keeps only the disk; resume cold-boots the sandbox.
```

## Usage

```text theme={null}
anona-compute pause SANDBOX_ID [flags]
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `--help`, `-h` | | help for pause |
| `--mode` | string | full (memory and disk) or filesystem (disk only) (default "full") |
