# anona-compute connect

> Open an interactive shell in a sandbox

```text theme={null}
Open an interactive login shell (/bin/bash -i -l) on a PTY through envd, the
same channel the E2B SDK's sandbox.pty uses; no sshd is needed. The local
terminal is put in raw mode and resizes follow it. Type Ctrl-] then d to
detach (the shell keeps running). anona-compute exits with the shell's exit code.
```

## Usage

```text theme={null}
anona-compute connect SANDBOX_ID [flags]
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `--cwd`, `-w` | string | working directory |
| `--help`, `-h` | | help for connect |
| `--user`, `-u` | string | user to run the shell as (default: the sandbox's default user) |

Global flags (`--api-key`, `--api-url`, `--json`, `--output`, `--profile`, `--request-timeout`, `--verbose`) work on every command; see [anona-compute](https://docs.anonalabs.com/compute/cli/reference/anona-compute.md).
