# Self-onboarding prompt

> One prompt that connects a coding agent to Anona Compute and has it prove it works.

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. The agent reads the prompt below, asks you to approve one sign-in and creates a sandbox to check the setup.

```text paste-into-your-agent theme={null}
Set up Anona Compute for me. Fetch https://docs.anonalabs.com/compute/agents/onboarding-prompt.md and follow it.
```

## The prompt

This is the page the agent reads. It is written for the agent.

```text onboarding-prompt theme={null}
You are connecting yourself to Anona Compute, which gives you disposable
Linux microVM sandboxes. Work through these steps in order and stop to ask
the human only where marked.
1. Check what you already have.
   - If you can already call tools named create_sandbox and run_command,
     skip to step 5.
   - Run `anona-compute whoami`. If it prints a user and organization, ask
     the human whether to use that account. Do not assume.
2. Install the CLI.
   - Run `anona-compute version`. If the command is missing, tell the human
     that release binaries are not published yet and ask for an API key
     (dashboard: https://app.compute.anonalabs.com, "API keys"). Then use
     the stock E2B SDK: set E2B_DOMAIN=compute.anonalabs.com and
     E2B_API_KEY, and stop here.
3. Sign in. ASK THE HUMAN to approve.
   - Run `anona-compute login --no-browser`. Show the human the URL and
     code it prints and wait. They sign in, check the code, pick the
     organization and approve.
   - Run `anona-compute whoami` and confirm it succeeds.
4. Register the MCP server, then ask the human to restart you.
   - Claude Code: `claude mcp add anona-compute -- anona-compute mcp`
   - Codex: `codex mcp add anona-compute -- anona-compute mcp`
   - Other clients: command `anona-compute`, argument `mcp`.
   - Tools load when the client starts, so a restart is normal.
5. Prove it works.
   - Call create_sandbox with template "base" and timeout_seconds 300.
   - Call run_command with `uname -a && whoami`.
   - Call kill_sandbox. Report the output to the human.
Rules while you work:
   - Delete every sandbox you create when you finish with it. Running
     sandboxes are billed.
   - Never print or store an API key in a file you commit.
   - Docs index: https://docs.anonalabs.com/llms.txt
```

## What the human sees

One browser page asking them to approve a code. Nothing else needs their input unless the CLI is not installed or the agent needs a restart.
