# profile, user-profile, usage

> Read a space's profile, what a space knows about one end user, and your credit balance from the anona CLI.

| Command | pip | npm |
| - | - | - |
| `profile`, `user-profile`, `usage` | yes | 0.19.0 |

## profile

```bash theme={null}
anona profile --space notes
```

The space's profile: its mission and disposition, the standing instructions
`reason` reads. `GET /v1/spaces/{id}/profile`. Addresses one space: `--space`,
or `ANONA_SPACE_ID`. To change it, see
[Setting the profile](https://docs.anonalabs.com/api-reference/models.md#setting-the-profile).

**`--json`:** `{"space_id", "name", "mission", "disposition": {...}}`.

## user-profile

```bash theme={null}
anona user-profile alice --space support
anona user-profile alice --space support --limit 20 --json
```

What a space knows about one end user, one memory per line.
`GET /v1/spaces/{id}/users/{user_id}/profile`. `USER_ID` is the `user_id` your
writes were [scoped](https://docs.anonalabs.com/guides/scoping-multi-tenant.md) with.

| Flag | |
| - | - |
| `--limit N` | At most this many memories, 1-200 |
| `--offset N` | Skip this many memories first |

A user the space has never heard of is an empty profile, not an error. See
[User profiles](https://docs.anonalabs.com/api-reference/user-profiles.md).

**`--json`:** `{"space_id", "user_id", "memory_count", "first_seen", "last_active", "memories": [...]}`.

## usage

```bash theme={null}
anona usage
anona usage --json | jq .credits_remaining
```

Credits remaining, your limit, what you have used, and your per-minute rate
limit. Takes no `--space`. `GET /v1/usage/me`. Check it when a command exits
`6` with `credits_exhausted`. Reads spend credits as well as writes:
`retrieve`, `reason`, `memories list`, `documents list` and `profile` are all
refused at zero. `anona doctor` reports the same balance.

**`--json`:** `{"credits_remaining", "credits_limit", "credits_used", "credits_banked", "rate_limit_per_min", ...}`.
