# llm-models and model

> Two different things called models: the LLMs you can choose (llm-models) and a space's memory models (model).

"Model" means two unrelated things in Anona, and the CLI keeps them apart:

| Command | Is about | Example |
| - | - | - |
| `anona llm-models` | the **LLMs** you can choose to answer `reason` or proxied chat, and what each costs | `openai.gpt-oss-120b-1:0` |
| `anona model MODEL_ID` | one **memory model**: a standing question a space keeps an up-to-date answer to | "What does this team's release process look like?" |

| Command | pip | npm |
| - | - | - |
| `model` | yes | 0.19.0 |
| `llm-models` | 0.25.0 | 0.19.0 |

## llm-models

pip 0.25.0; npm 0.19.0

```bash theme={null}
anona llm-models
anona llm-models --json | jq -r '.data[] | select(.supports_memory_operations) | .id'
```

The LLMs this deployment serves, with their credit price per 1,000 input and
output tokens. Takes no `--space`. `GET /v1/models`.

Use an id (or a tier alias) from here in
[`reason-settings set --model`](https://docs.anonalabs.com/cli/settings#reason-settings) and
[`chat-settings set --chat-model`](https://docs.anonalabs.com/cli/settings#chat-settings). A model whose
`supports_memory_operations` is `false` works in proxied chat only, so it is
refused as a reason model. See [Model selection](https://docs.anonalabs.com/api-reference/model-selection.md).

**`--json`:** `{"object": "list", "data": [{"id", "display_name", "alias", "default", "credits_per_1k_input", "credits_per_1k_output", "provider", "supports_memory_operations", ...}]}`.

## model

```bash theme={null}
anona model MODEL_ID --space notes
anona model MODEL_ID --space notes --json | jq -r .content
```

One memory model: its name, its question and its current content (markdown).
`GET /v1/spaces/{id}/models/{model_id}`. Addresses one space: `--space`, or
`ANONA_SPACE_ID`.

Creating, refreshing and listing memory models is not a CLI command yet: use
the dashboard's **models** tab or the [API](https://docs.anonalabs.com/api-reference/models.md).
`anona profile` shows the space's profile, which the memory models sit beside;
see [profile](https://docs.anonalabs.com/cli/profiles-and-usage.md#profile).

**`--json`:** `{"id", "space_id", "name", "query", "content", "tags", ...}`.
